  1. Hello, I have tried numerous programs to fix my video files (even tried to convert them with a few). I will send you one file and if you can fix it and send it back I will send you 40 more and pay you $40. It is some family footage that is priceless. Thanks

Deal! So you can email me at workerbee@mailinator.com and I will send you the small file first to see if you could fix it. To others reading this-I will post back on this thread to let you know if it got fixed or not.

I guess mailinator doesn't show the email of the sender. Email again with the email address you want the video sent to and I will send it right away (just look for an email from ChaCha Guide)

  7. One person tried everything and was not able to fix them. So the challenge still stands. I will pay a dollar for every vid you fix of mine.

  8. There is no data in the video you sent only 00's i have opened it with an hex editor to see what it looked like inside.
In other words there is no hope: no data = nothing to recover
    But that's just my opinion...

What is strange to me about it is that I used the same stuff to take it off the camera as well as convert it that I always do. I also think it's weird that there is file sizes----what's it holding-----I have one vid that is over 400mbs of nothingness!

400mb is nothing in the current video realm, could only be 4-16 seconds of video.

They were hd vids that I filmed using a sony handycam. I then imported them off the camera and onto my PC. I then deleted the ones on the camera and coverted the ones on my pc and that's when they became corrupt. I used Total Video Converter HD to convert them as I always do.

if you no longer have copies of the original files on your computer, you are not going to get any thing to fix a file of 0's. time to give up and move on.

  14. You can undelete files from the camera if you didn't make new videos since transferring the old ones.
    Just search for undelete tool.

Download VideoReDo TVSuite V4 ... trial for 15 days ... and see if ... VideoReDo TVSuite V4 ... can fix it ... I've used it in trial mode ... and most of the features you need to fix it are there ... unless it really is nothing but 000 zeros ... next time keep the original files a little bit longer.

When moving files from one location to a different location ... use ... Copy and Paste ... instead of ... Move and Paste.

If something goes wrong ... the original files are still there.

There are programs for recovering files from media cards ... especially for people who want to recover those pictures and videos from their cell phones
