I'm recording my gameplay with MSI Afterburner and the program spits out videos encoded in MJPEG video and PCM Audio codec in a AVI container.
I was up all night deciding what program to use to shrink and edit the resulting file. There are so many programs out it's dizzying. I am familiar with Virtualdub and I'd prefer to use h264 in a MP4 container so I can upload to Youtube.
As you can see a 20min file comes out to be 21.8GB, too big to upload to Youtube. I'm looking for a simple all-in-one program to compress the file and convert to MP4. The program needs to have simple editing features so I can cut segments of the video to upload instead of the entire video.

The further away I get from the things that I care about...
the less I care about how much further away I get... -
you can try avidemux, but vdub can export h.264/mp4 with the external encoder feature ( http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=18789& ) or through vdub frameserver to another program that exports h.264/mp4
Also, 60p won't be accepted by youtube (it will be re-encoded to 30p, dropping 1/2 the frames), so there is no use uploading a 60p video -
I checked the link you gave me but I couldn't find a link for the external encoder feature. I'm using vdub version 1.9.11 x86.
Thanks for the heads up on 60p, I never uploaded videos to Youtube this will be my first time. The further away I get from the things that I care about...
