What constitutes use of a Dual Layer disc....running time or bitrate? I never understood that.
Obviously this file is too big for a single layer by size....

Should I just author this as a Dual Layer disc and burn it. Is this bitrate too high for DVD Specs?
This is from a VHS source so it goes against my own advice that a super-high bitrate is a waste
of space for VHS sourced stuff....but I want to keep this original capture untouched.....and I wanted to
play with my newly acquired S-VHS with TBC.....I think I overdid it.

file size = bitrate * running time

So it's a combination of the two. DVD supports up to 9800 kbps for the video 10080 for all streams together. So your video is DVD compatible but will require a dual layer disc.
