    Here's my problem ..
I have a .mp4 file of HUGO in 3D and I have it's subtitles. But the subtitles don't show up on my BRAVIA TV. Anyone know of any way so that I can make the subtitles show in my TV?
If you need any additional info, then please do ask me. I'd only be happy to provide.

    Thank you.

Besides, I have an .mkv file with two audio steams, one is 5.1 chn-english and other is 2.0 chn-hindi. Now my BRAVIA only plays .mp4, so I want to convert it to an .mp4 with subtitles in english(I can just download an .srt from somewhere) and with hindi audio.

Virtual cookies for you if you help me with that too.

mp4 subs are not supported by most devices. that's why mkv is used or the subs are burned in(hardcoded).

I won't mind hardcoding subtitles on an mp4, I just want a movie to play with subtiles on my BRAVIA which only plays mp4s.

Well, I've tried that and my Bravia did not recognize the subtitles... I also tried tsMuxer (since the i-manual states the TV plays AVCHD files), again no subtitles were shown (although the video and the audio played normally).

The only files I have successfully played (which had subtitles) involved hard-subbing. Well, I could always plug my laptop in the TV...

Which tool should I buy to hardsub? I have a desktop so it takes a little more work to plug it to the TV.

What is your model of your bravia?

try convet the subtitles to idx/sub format and put them in same folder of the video with same name.
