    Hi...

Since i installed Windows7 64bit for about a year ago, i ahve been struggling with certain FLV's crashing explorer.

I'd really like to have it fixed now. I tried all sorts of registry fixes, and K-Lite codec files, Direct Show Fitlers and what not.. the truth is i do not 100% know what i'm doing..so it ended up in worthless hacking..

Registerring video formats as video is not the issue..some FLV's (ON2VP6) are displaying fine with thumbnails..but x264 does not.. they crash my explorer =/

I tried open the file in GraphStudio, but it won't render the file (only VLC will)

I could need a helping hand..

Hi, i just reinstalled my PC, win7 x64, and installed this codec pack

http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html + the x64 addon, that fixed it.

If you need to have a codec pack installed, Shark007 codecs seem to be the best and most compatible, IMHO. I used to support K-lite but would run into issues periodically. Since switching to Shark007, not one issue.
