Hi...
I am sure many of you have noticed the tiny wireless camera that gets advertized all over. I was wondering if anyone has one and have used it for video projects and what kind of quality you get from it.
My thought is that, with the optional battery pack, I could use attach it the outside of a car, on a boat, balloon, remote control car etc. and use a camcorder to record the received video.
Thanks

They work great. The color camera that comes with the separate video sender has good color. The picture is clear but not real sharp. Might be 200 lines or so, I haven't looked it up.
Operating a microwave oven within 50 feet of the reciever messes up the picture. Sometimes you get a noisy picture for no good reason, but not hardly noticable on a 13 inch TV. I use the separate transmitter in the house to transmit satelite output to two other TV's in the house and I'm very happy with the quality. The camera is just in the drawer until I find a use for it. -
Are you talking about the x-10 (or something like that) the camera with all of the pop up ads? if so its ok. BUT the one thing to realize is that there is no encription on the signal so just about anyone with a similar camera or with the right equipment can "tap" into your signal. I know it probably wouldn't happen but just so you know, so you shouldn't do anything that you wouldn't want your neighbors to watch........
I personally think the best use of the camera is to place it where you wouldn't risk something more expensive.......such as tied to your car bumper going down the track.
