    Hi..

I've heard a few comments about putting a VCD Header onto an SVCD to trick some DVD players that do not support SVCD.

How exactly would you go about doing that?

    Thanks

  2. Open TMPGENc.
    Go to MPEG Tools.
    Select Cut
Drop down menu choose - Non-Compliant VCD
    Select file to re-encode.
    Select edit.
    Select a file name.
    Wait.

Burn as non-compliant VCD through your burning software.

  3. Open TMPGEnc (any version), select the MPEG Tools, be sure the Simple Multimplex tab is highlighted, open your SVCD file, BE SURE YOUR TYPE SELECT THE MPEG-1 Video CD, this will save the Header as a Standard VCD, run it through the Simple Multimplex process, It will place a Standard VCD Header on the file without changing the basic SVCD file itself. I can't be sure this will work on all DVD players, it worked on a old Hitachi I have, you may have to press the play button, sometime it will not start up by itself.

Thanks for the quick reply... I'll give it a try this weekend. One question.. Can Roxio EasyCD 5 burn non-compliant VCD?

I know Nero does, and I just downloaded the demo, but I am loathed to uninstall EasyCD because I got the thing working great and I know others have soooo much trouble with it..

    Thanks
    D.
