  1. To give you idea that what am I needing help for, please have a look for my sample in a random Music Video. The sky in the video has the color blue, red, purple or what ever. But the person's doesn't change.
I want to know the name of this video effect. And can you submit or tell me how do I get/download/use the effect.
Please give me ideas about this.

Heres what I basically want in my movie (The color of the sky changed into...):

Hope you got some answers for me.

  2. You need to isolate the foreground actors from the background, then replace the background in your editing/compositing software

Easiest way is to shoot the actors on a green screen, then use chroma/color key techniques

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_key

Harder way is to manually rotoscope and using masks

I will check these methods. Thanks for the info.

  4. There are different techniques and "quick" workarounds to do this, depending on what the original source video characteristics were.

e.g. if the original shot was bright blue sky, you can use garbags masks and chroma key and/or luma key to get this effect fairly quickly (you don't necessarily have to shoot on green screen). The effect in your sample isn't pixel perfect (there are white outlines to objects), so if that's the effect you are going for it's fairly easy to achieve

If you already have a video in mind, if you post a screenshot or details, we can give you better ideas on how you might go about it. But clearly the "best" way is shooting it planned ahead and properly to begin with

Secondary Color Corrector, Color Difference masking in Sony Vegas. Other NLE's, I dunno, don't think they have it.

What you need to do is create a selection that includes only the sky color. Then change the hue. It's simple, don't overthink it.
