    Hi everybody,

I know that there are softwares to convert 2d movie to 3d in different formats: dvd, avi...

Does anyone know this issue regarding media, and players.

I am aware that 3d bluray player can play 3d bluray movie.

    Thanks

There's really only 1 media standard (BD3D) and only 1 transmission standard (HDMI 1.4a). Everything else is currently a crap shoot.
A LOT depends on whether the media player in question UNDERSTANDS the difference between 3D and 2D media, regardless of output type.
Assume that most players DON'T understand that and so present the various OTHER 3D formats (SbS, T/B, Interlaced, etc) as 2D and it is up to the 3DTV to manually be changed to 3D for things to work.
An exception to this is Broadcast/Cable/Sat 3D channels with recent receivers, where the receiver gets signalling from the channel's aux id info and passes along that "Enable 3D" signalling to the HDMI, so that your 3DTV can AUTOMATICALLY engage 3D.

I really wish that media players would recognize the DUAL MUX format(s)* as being 3D-Native, then they could do a similar thing. Also, recognition of MVC-encoded material (even if it isn't yet formatted into 3DBD)...

*See my numerous previous posts on DUAL MUX formats (MOV, AVI, WMV, MKV, MP4), though this also now includes the common Cineform 3D.
