I recently joined a web site that I can download .avi and divx movies which I can view on my computer.
I have a CD burner in my computer. Is there anyway I can take the movies off my computer and put them on CD's to watch in the DVD/CD player that I have and get everyone off my computer?(everyone has taken over my computer to watch movies). I have been trying to read about all these different codings and conversions and it is like reading a foreign language. If someone would be kind enough to let me know if movies from my computer drive can be changed to a DVD/CD viewable movie and what program I would need I'd appreciate it! Thanks

You can only make DivX's (for computer) and VCD/SVCD/XVCD for a VCD Compliant player.
Your DVD player probably does not support CD-Rs or VCDs...most of them still don't.
Before you start converting stuff like crazy, check your DVD Model on this site to check what works on it!
