Hi guys,
Noobie here, but I'm having trouble inserting correct subtitles into a foreign film that I have. I know how to hard burn .srt files into videos, but I've got a whole bunch of new subtitle files in .txt format that I believe to be spit out from Adobe Encore. When I open up the .txt files I get something like this:
00:00:40:43 00:00:44:20 Here, look at Mommy!
00:00:47:02 00:00:50:32 Chano, over here!
The film has a 59.97 frame rate if that helps. Is there any easy way short of buying Adobe Encore to convert these subtitle files into .srt? Thanks!

Thanks. I now seem to have a minor problem of some captions breaking and disappearing from encore to srt. Is there anyway to automatically fix this in subtitle edit?

Can you post an example?

Sure. In the text file from the adobe encore subtitle file:
Can I take Chanoto to the soccer game?
And when I open it in subtitle edit, I'll get:
Can I take Chano -
It might be a bug in subtitle edit (with new lines) - you can try this version: http://www.nikse.dk/SubtitleEdit.zip
