    Hi -

I captured video with an Elgato EyeTv 250 device from a comcorder, with only the video cable (not the audio cables) plugged in to eliminate the audio.

I then deleted unwanted footage on a mac with Avidemux, and saved with the settings to copy video, copy audio, and in the mpeg video format.

I send the footage to someone that needs to open it and edit it with Pinnacle Studio 7, and they claim they can't edit it with Pinnacle. They said it plays for a minute and then stops, and they can't edit it. I have sent videos before using the same process and it seemed to work OK.

Of course I tested the video playback after editing and it seemed to be fine, I jumped to different parts of the video, etc.

Any ideas of what might be wrong? Thank you.

Here is the info from mediainfo attached. Also, I'm confused why would it say 9 mn 22s when it's 2 hours and 39 min long? Thank you.

Could the problem be that I may cut video using Avidemux in a place not right at the i frame and then not used an encoder that fixes this? (video was on copy setting)

could also be the bitrate is way too high. not much is going to want to handle dvd mpeg-2 at 68mbps. dvd spec is 8-9mbps to allow for audio and a 10mbps total cap.
