    Hello!

I prepared a DVD of a recital with audio and video from different sources. I took the video myself and used the audio from the house recording engineer. The audio quality is important because the DVD will be used for auditions. I rendered the video and audio separately: MPG2 and WAV (PCM 16bit 48MHz). The prepared DVD plays perfectly from my hard drive with VLC. There are loud pops when playing the burned disc, however, and a few seconds was cut off the end of one track. I assume the problem is with the burning process. I have an old Plextor 16x usb burner and I'm using Sony DVD-R media, which I think is recommended for my drive. Can someone please help me?

    Thanks,
    D

try again using imgburn to create the dvd. make sure the verify option is checked. if the pops are still there and in the same places the problem is in the encoding. if there but in different places, try to find some quality verbatim or taiyo yuden discs.
