    Hi,

I have some videos taken from a Sony Camcorder which produces .mts files.

When I used VLC player to view the videos, some parts of the video is extremely "wavy" (I have attached a screenshot of it).

However, when I used MPC-HC to view, it's ok.

Does anyone know what caused this?

Can these "defects" be avoided if I convert these .mts files to DVD (vobs and all)?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. You have interlaced video. Enable deinterlacing in VLC. For making DVD leave the video interlaced, just be sure it's encoded properly. DVD players and TVs know how to deal with interlaced video.
