Connecting WD 1TB USB 3.0 to PHILIPS HD media player HMP3008

Hello experts ,

I have WD 1 TB USB 3.0 with collections of movies and planning to buy PHILIPS HD media player HMP3008 to play movies from it .
Does all media player supports USB 3.0 ? As per PHILIPS HD media player HMP3008 manual compability of USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 isnt mentioned.


And also in manual its mentioned You can only play DivX videos that were rented • or purchased with
DivX® registration code of this player. (Refer to “Setup’ > “MISC” >
[DivX® VOD Code]) Doesnt this means I cant play movies which downloaded from internet (Torrent)

1: No ... usb3 supports fall back to previous standards where usb3 dose not exist.

2: Not according the guide for /93 model ... It should play most common file types ... even those encoded with various versions of divx.
