  1. I used the command "ffmpeg -i video.avi -vcodec copy -b:a 96k video.wmv" The audio conversion and recontainer worked. But when I try to skip ahead using the seek bar, the video would freeze for a few seconds (can still hear sound), then video speeds up to the destination. Same thing happened when I tried it in a DVD player, except the freezing frame turns black for a few seconds (can still hear sound), then speeds up to where I want to skip to. What is the problem?

What is the video codec in the avi?
Does your dvd player only support wmv?

Maybe you can use another wmv muxer like wmvmuxer or run the wmv through asfbin to make it seekable.

  3. Source is WMV9 + MP3 in AVI. Converted to WMV9 (copy) + WMA in WMV. Player (360) only supports WMV. What option am I suppose to enable in asfbin? Just load and save? Because that did not work. Converted file in the 1st post did seek, but lags for 5 seconds before resyncing.
