For a live music venue, the owner wants to set up a projection screen in the main bar area which will show video of the main stage which is in a seperate room. He already has a full HD projector but no camera.

My question is what camera would be best for this job? (considering it is in low light) and how would he connect it to the projector in another room? The rooms are next to each other and I think the camera and projector will be there permanantly, so wireing isn't a definate no, but wireless would be better if possible and reasonably priced?

    Many thanks in advance

Forget the DSLR idea....99% of them still have a max. shooting time for video before they shot down due to heat issues.

  3. hech54 is right. For example my Sony alpha 35 cannot record more than 30min.

No comparison, I use my Panny TM900 for video and my Fujifilm X S1 for stills. However, should an opportunity, in which I have no time to swich cameras, presents itself, I can use either camera to shoot in its secondary mode.
    You really need both.

@ pepegot1 - he is not wanting to do stills, just video. is the Panasonic TM900 full HD and good with low light?

  7. What's the budget? I have the older Panasonic TM700 and it's a superb camcorder in most conditions, but the Canon HF-G10 is better. It has a larger sensor, but also cost about $500US more than the Panny...

TM 900 is an excellent camera with full HD capacity. Easy to configure and use. Good in low light for its class. However, I use an external light in dark situations and an external mic when practical. There only so much these cameras can do in low light, unless you want to spend big $$$$ It takes pretty good pictures in a pinch.
