    Gang,

Help me out here a bit. I am currently using VirtualDub with either Huffyuv or PICVideo to capture AVI and apply various filters. Then I frameserve to TMPG. Quality is outstanding, but TMPG is SLOW SLOW SLOW!!!!!

I am thinking about LSX to do my encoding. My question is, can you frameserve from VirtualDub to LSX? If so can someone give me instructions how to or resource to use (that is if it is deifferent from VDub to TMPG)? If it is the same as TMPG, just let me know. Thanks.

  2. The only difference with LSX is that the dummy file (VDR) created by VirtualDub must be created with a .AVI suffix. Once you do that, LSX works fine.

    Have fun,
    Ian

  3. The only detail that you need to pay attention to with LSX is that it demands that its input file must end in .AVI

When you create your VDR file in Virtualdub, just add .AVI onto the name and you're away.

    Have fun,
    Ian

Thanks Ian, it is just the same as TMPGEnc. With a file such as *.vdr.avi

    Great, much appreciated
