Hi all
I am trying to convert a decrypted DVD. Every time with different software like Handbrake or anydvd or dvdfab I try to convert this DVD at the more or less half way conversion finishes. I have decrypted DVD with 1click DVD. During decryption it found some bad sector whih was skipped by 1click. But I am not able to convert the DVD with any software completely. Can anyone help me what should I do to create a mp4 file from this DVD?

I do have a question - are you trying to rip and convert at the same time? Or are you ripping (copying) then converting after its on the harddrive? Generally its best to convert from the ripped copy that is on your harddrive - ie less wear and tear on your dvd drive.
Try baldricks suggestion and see if it works.
One note though - since it seems to be happening in the same spot could it be scratched or dirty? Have you tried cleaning it? Are there any obvious scratches on it?Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
First I have ripped it onto hard drive using DVD cloner as iso format. Then mounted the ripped iso with poweriso. Afterwards Using handbrake to convert. Applied same method to other DVD, works perfectly fine.
So I did another thing. I mounted the ripped iso and copied only movie with 1 click DVD. It found some bad secto, but it was skipped. But still the same problem. -
I'd try dvdfab hd decrypter myself too. With some of the newest dvd copy protection schemes you may have to get the paid version.

If you want to know why DVDFab HD fixed this issue, most likely your DVD contained what is known as "bad sector" copy protection. The manufacturer deliberately authors the DVD to have misleading and incorrect sector information because older ripping programs don't know how to deal with it correctly. It exploits a difference in how discs are ready by PCs for ripping and how discs are read on standalone players for playback to confuse some ripping programs. Disney and Sony are the most notorious companies in North America that use this regularly, but there are others. It costs them extra money to pay for this and commercial ripping programs like AnyDVD and DVDFab can deal with it, so you can argue it might not be a wise expenditure of money. Using bad sector copy protection has yet to prevent a DVD from being ripped and copied if you know what you are doing, but it does stop enough people with little knowledge about the process that they seem to think it's worth it.
