Man this has matrix written over it - well sort of.
Just jack in!
That exchanging business cards thing? They must mean from phone to phone without a cable right?
I guess what I want to know is isn't wireless more practical? I mean zune already had this years ago with that "squirt" thing. You could wirelessly share files (unencrypted files or 3 time play limit on encrypted purchased files).
One thing would be it would be more universal in the sense that anything equipped with this transceiver would work instead of proprietary wireless structures like the zune setup.
Still sounds a little freaky to me.
What I would like is to have it be a remote control deal. Just imagine simply pointing at the screen and flipping like you would with a real remote but just in the air. That would be cool if it could work. It would beat the kinect on the xbox 360 as you wouldn't have to have any attachment and if the sensors built into the tv would be multidirectional you wouldn't have to have line of sight either.
But it sounds like this is a ways off from becoming reality.
Oh and there is that pesky government red tape to deal with. What would the health departments think about this even if the currents would be safe enough? Any long term studies on this? Although all the stuff we might get from wireless routers is probably worse than this thing I imagine.
