Hi all. I have a 6gig MKV file here which I want to convert to a dual layer DVD. When using ConvertXtoDVD and specifying DVD-9 the program is outputting the files at 4.5gig, which seems wierd to me being the source file is 6gig. The file is a 720p bluray rip.
I would of expected the file to be a lot larger, considering the size of the original source file. I have settings all set to the highest quality but still no joy. I have done similar conversions with AVI's and they can end up anywhere between 5.5gig and 7 gig.
I'm am far from an expert on all this so if anyone can give me an idea of what I may be doing wrong I'd really appreciate the info.
Thanks.

How long is the source (hours and minutes).
I've heard before that convertXtoDVD, in some circumstances, doesn't always maximize the bitrate.
Perhaps somebody who's more familiar with it can comment.
The fact that the source is 6GB is not particularly relevant.

Running time is 2hours 16 minutes. It includes both AC3 and DTS audio as well. Here is information on the file I grabbed using MediaInfo.
