  1. I am using a Hauppauge Collossus capture card to capture off HD material from my cable box DVR. Things have been going pretty good. I capture in .ts and edit with videoredo to get commercials and extraneous stuff off the video. Occaisionally I'll get one that is fine when I play it back but after I burn it to a BD-R 25 disc (using multiavchd to create the menu) it will have the audio out of sync.

I usually mux it to .m2ts with tsmuxer since mulitavchd seems to handle m2ts files a little better than .ts. Lately, just about everything I capture is out of sync AFTER I run it through tsmuxer. It plays fine as a .TS file. It's really driving me crazy. I know the simple solution is to capture it as a .M2TS file then put it straight into multiAVCHD. But I think multiAVCHD uses tsmuxer or something similar so I'll still have the same problem.

Any ideas? Just to see if it was the cable DVR I captured off netflix. The .TS file was fine. I ran it through tsmuxer and the resulting .M2TS file audio was out of sync.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated...

    Thanks

I don't remember exactly where it is, but one of the Colossus options for recording has an option for using TBC. Try using that if it's not turned on already. If I remember correctly you have to find this via the Hauppauge controls for the Colossus rather than through the limited ShowBiz capture options.

  3. In Arcsoft under the device for the Colossus I found a TBC enable under Video. I clicked it. I'll see what that does.

What's weird is that the captured file is playing fine. It's when I mux it or burn to disc through multiAVCHD that I get the sync problem.

    Thanks for the suggestion

It could be also that VidieoReDo is doing something flakey when you save your edits. I use VideoReDo as well for edits of videos I make with this card but I ALWAYS save to MKV. Maybe saving to MKV instead and letting tsmuxer or multiAVCDH work from that would give better results.

  5. I'm having the same issue here. Ever figure it out?

How major is your sync issue?
