    New Video Standard - Solveig Multimedia presents 'Zond 265', the first professional H.265 Analyzer for Software Development worldwide

    Two months ago, the new video standard 'High Efficiency Video Coding' (HEVC), currently better known as H.265, has been officially defined. It will become an international standard from July 2012 and will be applied as an approved new video standard from 2013. Middle of year 2013 most mobile video services and presumably the whole HD TV transmission will be based on the new H.265 standard.

    Releasing 'Zond 265', Solveig Multimedia is the first to offer a market-ready HEVC/H.265 bit stream analyzer. The new software will help software engineers to develop H.265-compliant software and codecs in order to be able to present new H.265-compliant products in 2013.

    ZOND 265 new version 1.8 is released. It gets around 60% faster and brings a number of handy features. Itís a Linux version, quality estimation with most popular PSNR and MSSIM metrics; command line interface workflow; HEVC specification quotes and references for most of syntax elements; enhanced floating license server;

    1.5.1312.05, 2013-12-05

    Quality estimation comparing original YUV file with preloaded HEVC file by PSNR and MSSIM metrics
    Quality graph to show separate PSNR /MSSIM values for separate Y, U,V channels Visual map of PSNR for a frame coded tree blocks (CTB)
    HEVC specification quotes for most of syntax elements. Just put a mouse pointer to any element name and get an information scope or open a specification at the necessary place (the specification should be downloaded and placed to a necessary folder)
    Linux 32 and 64 bits versions of Zond 265 are available. The distributive operates on Ubuntu version 12.04 and above
    Command line interface for quality estimation
    Showing a residual picture type
    Playback ability enabled
    Copying a bitstream slice in detail to a clipboard
    Compatible with HM13 and previous HMs starting from HM 10.01
    Floating license server shows names of PCs / IP addresses of a current users

    Optimized HEVC files opening and processing. It works 50-60 % faster than previous version
    Improved Zond operating stability. Fixed many crashes and hangs
    Improved last frame navigation in case it is not complete
    Fixed. TU partition was sometimes shown overlapped
    Fixed. Wrong handling of frames with negative POC after IDR
