I have PJ260VE handycam and wish to use its projector to play the videos captured from other devices.
I tried uploading videos converted int M2TS format but camcorder fails to recognise them, it looks for videos captured from the device only on the basis of events/location.
The camcorder supports :
HD Video Codec MPEG4-AVC/H.264SD Video Codec MPEG2-PS
It seems that the device looks for some metadat information in videos.
Please advise.

It may use proprietary software that will only project it's own videos, not one from some other source. Have you looked at the manual for external video information?

Thanks for your response. Indeed it seems the device is using is proprietary software and its own encoding format/metadata which help distinguish the images/videos clicked from other devices.
I went thru the device manual and as you said it mentions that videos and images from other devices are not supported by the device.
I would still like to find out the way which help me access my videos and images using the device which I believe would mean transforming the media files or inserting some metadata information.
Any pointers of help would be great. -
"transforming the media files or inserting some metadata information." That part I can't help you with. I doubt anyone here can help you with that either. Maybe you could try to google your camera for more help. I am having big troubles with M2TS files also, but in another area like trying to create a avchd dvd with menus. Almost impossible.
