    If I want to save a compressed file in Virtual Dub, where shall I click? I only have Save Avi, Save old style Avi, and another AVI option. I don't want to save uncompressed avi, it is too big, where can I choose save compressed file? I cannot find it anywhere.

    Search Comp PM
    Click on Video->Compression, choose the codec and set it up. After that then Save it.

    To save as compressed, you must have already installed the codec you want (XviD, DivX, whatever).

    Okay, but what shall I click to save the file in that compressed format?

    I only have Save as Avi, Save as Segmented avi, Save as old avi in the file menu. That's all. Which option to click??
