By mistake I update my sony BDP S185 to the newest version, which contain cinavia, and this was a nightmare, as several discks was showing the buggy note mute note. Sony did not allow the downgrade of the firmware, nor the hard reset to the factory firmware.
I then found out that using the "easy downgrade.exe from Windows binaries, which can be found at this link to work.

which needed to be extracted in a folder, then into the same folder extract your update version, and change the date and version to a newer one that currently installed
the only problem was that the provided updted was going back only to M09.R.0033, which still contain cinavia, but I found earlier version in the interner, which does not: M09.R.0028 at this link: http://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=23&v_code=32656 burned to a CD and (SOLVED)
