I just noticed that there seems to be no difference between the old and new ffmpeg. They have the same date and time codes.

I am using the new one anyway.

Okay, to be sure I understood you correctly you tested the 32bit AND the 64bit version and both crash on your system with 'call 3.', right?

    Sorry for the misunderstanding!

I got the 32 bit version and ran call 3.

    No crash!

What CPU do you use on your system?
Seems like ffmpeg has some problems with it.

    that's no problem,..

-> try if the encoding that crashed before now works if you use the 32bit ffmpeg in your Hybrid folder.

    It worked!

I am running a longer one right now with 3 audio tracks and 4 subtitles and it seems to be going nicely - still busy processing though.

My processor details are under my name: Intel i7 2600K

The longer video ran okay, but no file was saved.

I am trying to post the debug, but it won't upload. Will restart my browser and try again!

Must be something with ffmpeg and my processor. It is a very popular processor so I am surprised. Can you report it to ffmpeg so they can fix it?

Should I just carry on with the 32 bit version for now?

Does it matter that it is not in the x86 folder?

I presume that when you post an update I will have to also download the 32 bit version of ffmpeg if it crashes again or should I just use the 32 bit version of Hybrid?

Yes you would have to use a 32bit Version of ffmpeg until the bug is fixed,.. (will report it later if I find the time)

Does it matter that it is not in the x86 folder?
    No, that's no problem.

Nope, the debug file won't post! Some background backup is running so I will wait for it to finish first and then restart the PC.

language detection works fine, mkvmerge just doesn't support 'iw' as language,.. (should be 'he' -> will add a workaround)

It just stopped processing after the log on the main screen got to the last line below:

    Code:
Adjusting audio delay from 0 by 33 to -33 due to encoder compensation. Adjusting audio delay from 0 by 33 to -33 due to encoder compensation.
Adjusting audio delay from 0 by 33 to -33 due to encoder compensation.

     extracted subtitle F:\My Videos\Mede8er\Working\Hybrid\Finding Nemo (2003)_id_4_iw.idx
The program still responds, but the job queue is empty. The 2 audio tracks and the 2 subtitles still appear in the relative lists, but no further progress happens.

If I then try to add the title again, I get 2 windows opening saying:
    Code:
EnableGUI value should not be > 0! value: 2
Please create a debug output of the whole thing and report to Selur.
The other window says the same thing but with "value: 1"

After clicking OK, I have to close the program as it will do nothing else.

Why should there be anything in the job queue? You didn't press 'Add to queue',..

If I then try to add the title again, I get 2 windows opening saying:...
That should not happen,.. -> I can reproduce this -> looking into it

-> send you a new version,..

You are correct. The program froze while reading the file just after I dropped it on Hybrid.

Silly me. I have been doing this so much now that I am starting to go on automatic and not paying attention!

It just did it again with the latest versions installed as per your last PM.

I didn't get the GUI error though.

It seems that any file with an "iw" sub in it stops the program while Hybrid is doing it's initial reading of the file.

  29. What is the last thing written in the Log shown on the Main-Tab ?
I'm unsure if the 'freezing' you describe is just Hybrid i.e. extraction or analyzing something or if it is a bug,.. (btw. disabling the debug output should speed up the normal responsiveness of Hybrid, since no hdd access for writing the debug output to hdd is necessary then)

Selur, I have to apologise! The program now works absolutely perfectly!

In fact on my machine it really rocks - Even with my rather heavy demands for quality I am getting 80-100fps processing on some files and about 50fps on average!

I feel like an idiot. It was me that was freezing! I spent so long not getting past the initial reading of the files that I totally forgot to add the job to the queue!! What an twit!! !

You fixed the subtitles problem with the last version and it now works perfectly! I just have to play with the settings and get it to do what I want regarding file sizes, quality, etc...

A small suggestion - would it be possible to put a simple line in the main page log to tell the user when it has finished reading the file? Something like: "Finished reading files ..." or "Done reading, what do you want to do now?" Sometimes it is so fast, I wait in case it has something else to do and on other files it takes a little longer and I try to carry on when it has not done its thing!

Thanks for the PM'd update - I thought I would reply here so everyone can see what a great program this really is!

You have done an amazing job with this piece of software and have been very patient with my noob questions and problems.

You have gone way out of your way to fix every one of my issues and I really am soo grateful. You definitely have a new fan!

Question: I presume that if I want to do any kind of cropping and or resizing, that I must deinterlace first. Does Hybrid automatically do it in the correct order? ie: deinterlace first. I assume bobbing is better?

You also mentioned using some filters on almost every job you do. Can you refresh my memory on which ones to use and why do you use them?
