Need help converting Mkv videos!

I need help with converting Mkv videos to watch on my PSP using Xvid4PSP. I'm trying to convert my anime shows so i can watch them on my PSP but with subtitiles being there, after adding the extracted subtitles using MKVextractGui2 and converting i realized there was no audio and that's where my main problem started. I tried doing many things from reading the comments and posts but none of them work so i gave it a shot in the dark and tried to input the extracted audio file in Audio>Editing Options>Path which worked because there was sound when i play the video in preview. Now here's where i'm stuck, because the video wont encode, there's no error message, it just wont move .I tried using different video converters and finally chose Xvid4PSP(current version i'm using is 5.037, the newer versions are just too complicated for me to tinker around). (I did ran into an issue before where it did said .....first pass...... but it was stuck on that)

Thank you for replying. I've tried what you suggested and i was able to convert it with sound and subs working in the preview however i could not get it to play on my psp. The vid is listed as unsupported data on my psp. I feel like i keep hitting another wall after solving one problem.


Also, is there a program you recommend for converting .ass files into .srt files? So far i'd tried Subtitlesworkshop and Subresync but the converted .srt files didnt work with vidcoder (the subtitles didnt show up on the preview).
