I know that it is no longer being developed, but I have been curious to try MultiAVCHD. Unfortunately, no matter where I download it (in this case, this is version 4.0 build 770 (?)), AVG is telling me that it contains adware, and does not recommend using it, installing it, etc. Has anyone else received this message on download or install, and is there reason to ignore it?

(BTW, I did see discussions about previous erroneous indications, but these seem to be from 2-3 years ago, so it didnt appear to apply to this latest version)

Suggestions, help? Would you recommend another authoring package instead of this one?

  2. I downloaded MultiAVCHD not too long ago (couple months?) and it's working fine for me, if it contains "adware," my Norton installation doesn't seem to be upset about it. My understanding is that MultiAVCHD is no longer being developed, so the version that's out there now has been out there awhile in its present format. If you're downloading it from the Videohelp link I wouldn't be concerned.

  3. I downloaded MultiAVCHD just a few days ago because I read about it while looking for a way of editing HD and playing it on my pesky Panasonic pvr/Blu-Ray box. It works, I have this very morning seen a compilation of clips playing in 1920x1080x50i (I'm pretty sure) and all because of this program. I edited on Vegas Movie Studio, combined the shots with multiAVCHD, moved the files on to a card, put the card in the box and copied it to disc. I've been struggling for months so I intend to contribute to the developer. I had no problems with adware. I've forgotten where I downloaded it from.

ALL anti-virus programs, EVERY one of them, give false indications on some programs. Anti-virus program A will insist that software X has adware or some horrible trojan and anti-virus B will insist that the same program is clean. Then anti-virus program B will insist that software Y has a problem whereas anti-virus program A will insist that it's clean. MultiAVCHD is not know for having ad-ware so I'd regard that as a false positive by AVG.
