It was mentioned in my post on my HD problems that I could consider a removable drive bay for my SATA drives.

I went to my local electronics store hoping to see some reasonable prices, but they were all in the 75 dollar range. Most had fans, but no led for power or to show it in use. On my own (The clerk couldn't find it) I found a Thermaltake double drive (1 SSD 1 Sata with a nice fan, lock, led for about 60USD. With Osaka being hot as hell I was wondering if a fan cooling the HDD would be a good way to go.

BUT my first real question is, is the speed of the drive still going to be the same? Or is using the SATA drive in this way any way compromising the speed? Are there any cons to doing it this way? I have 5 optical drive spaces...so far just the blu-ray taking one space, 4 more to go.

The real reason for this is I can't find brackets to install my new HDs into the tower. I contacted the company that makes the tower and they said they would send spare parts if they had any in stock. The would send specs for what I could use instead as not all are made the same.

I almost feel like in order to cool this machine down (My side fan is gone...not sure how important that is) to maybe get a new, cooler (Cool as in cold, cool as in cool AWESOME led lights that will piss off the wife) or not...
