    Are there any external capture card will do AVI so I can make VCDs? I've tried mpeg1 using Dazzle DVC with not so good results. I just got the Hollywood DV-Bridge and will try mpeg2, but I heard that is not good also.

    I need an external card because I'm using my laptop.

    AVI is to big for the USB bus n u will get bad captures.


    best bet is the firewire Dazzle DV bridge, it does DV

    the USB 1.1 Bus can hold 12 megs

    the Firewire Bus can hold 400 megs
