I DID pick Pick ffdshow! and as i said i chose the same settings as jagabo. Anyway, this is a part of the video im trying to cut. The part i want to take out is the one with the human actresses and leave only the cartoon but no matter what i do, i just cant cut it off.Are you sure there isnt another program there that can just cut the video right and save as direct stream copy?

Here is your video, "smart rendered":

Note that at the point of cut, Vdub had to encode few frames, but anything else is stream copy.

Honestly, I don't know where your are failing.
You also have to use AviFrate, to fix framerate, as jagabo also said.
And don't check DirectStreamCopy at Video menu. Use FullProcessingMode.
And turn on SmartRender, of course.

 Hope it helps.Thank you.

Okay, now i get this error:

 MPEG does not support 21845/728fps

so, seems like im close but not close enough. Maybe some misconfiguration?

 Thank you.

You mean i have to fix the bandicam video with avifrate BEFORE opening it with virtualdub? i tried, it didnt work either. Same error. What settings do i have to use in avifrate? Last edited by supercain; 28th Apr 2012 at 18:40.

	I told you that already:

 https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/345566-cut-video-and-save-as-direct-stream-copy?p=2...=1#post2157393

Start AviFRate, set Scale to 1000, rate to 30000, press Apply.

Thanks, it worked! one final question, sorry if i insist. With this method there is absolutely no quality loss??

Thank you both. That was helpful. I was finally able to cut the video the right way.

Are those my only two options? Needless complexity or broken video?Make your choice.

All I want to do is delete annoying scenes from movies in my personal collection. Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 is apparently incapable of opening anything without "conforming" it first, which is obviously some kind of render process and hangs on my machine.

Windows live movie maker would be fine in terms of interface. Watch movie>insert splits>delete scenes> save movie, except that it won't do anything approaching direct stream copy or even matching input values.

The state of video generally is atrocious. Reminds me of that old stab... "Unix, so many standards to choose from."
