  1. I have avi file from Movies Up Close & Personal 1996, i want to convert it to Panoramic video with aspect Ratio 16:9 but i dont know which software that i must to use,or how to do it,please anyone help me thanks.

    What are the video source details? Use mediainfo, open avi, view->text and copy everything.

    If it's 4:3 you must crop it to 16:9...it's easier to just zoom on your tv.

    Don't know how it got there, but your movie has already been converted to Xvid and NOT CORRECTLY. If this was originally from a standard def DVD-Video, it was probably 720x480 (if living in NTSC land) or 720x576 (if living in PAL land). This would/should have been a 16:9 recording, which should have had a tiny bit of burned-in letterboxing, because the original feature was shot in 1.85:1 (though some studios crop that to 16:9 when transferring & mastering to DVD).

    I'd suggest going back to the original disc and re-ripping - but without converting to Xvid. Well, convert if necessary, but DO NOT resize/crop. Just set the AR in the encode to 16:9! Once that's done, any decent modern software ought to be able to read the Xvid AR flags...
