    I am using format factory in converting DVD to Iphone video. How to set the conversion setting & substitles?

    Maybe you'd have better luck using Handbrake (free). It was specifically created to be Mac friendly and I think it has an iPhone specific conversion setting.

    Actually Format factory does have a iphone preset. In version 2.9 go to the video tab on the left of the program (at the main screen). Select "all to mobile devices". Then scroll down the list in the next window that pops up and select the preset for apple (it has it for the iphone and ipad.

    edit - also to jman - I don't believe the op mentioned anything about being on a mac. If the poster is on a mac than I don't know if there is a mac version of format factory.
