  1. Hi,

The Applian Flv player has been upgrade to version 3 - its actually looks like a clone of the VLC player. This new version of the player has a very large footprint where as version 2.0 is only 1.9 MB (there are two version of build 25 that I know of one has white text and one has yellow text other than that I do not know what the diff is.).

The 2.0 version playes most of the common FLV and some MP4 formats, does not required Flash, other plugins, or any other codecs etc - its such a shame that this is no longer being developed. It was not missing much (an audio volume normaliser would have been nice).

My questions is:- Does anyone know of another player that is as light weight as the applian player (if possible that is still being updated)?

    Hi
That FLVPlayer was probably OK in it's day.
Are there any flv files now that can't be played using VLC and SMPlayer etc?

  3. I've had problems with the VLC player when trying to play 'JOINED' video, as for the SMplayer I will look at the portable version - but it is still 14/15mb in size.
