I've used MeGUI once before to make a video file from a DVD and I didn't have any problem; it took about an hour or two to finish. I've been trying it again with another DVD, but when I get to encoding the video, it takes about an hour to finish and then it starts over again, and it tells me the total time will be around eight hours. I've followed the instructions on the MeWiki, and I'm not sure what I'm doing differently from before, but I've tried several times and it always does that. I'm not sure if it would finish even if I did wait eight hours. Anyone know what's going on and how to change it?

You probably used different settings in MeGui during you encounters with it.
2nd time you used 2 pass encoding.(+ aside from the encoding settings, different filtering also has an impact on the encoding speed)
-> without more info what settings you used, it's just guessing what could have changed in your settings,... i.e. changing the motion estimation settings can have huge impacts on the encoding speed,... (i.e. subme 1 vs subme 10)
