How about AVX / AVX2? My processor does not support... You have which stone?

just as a reminder: Stears555 is one of the users on my ignore list (so I don't&can't read his posts), so (while he is still posting here in this thread) if someone wants to address me, please use an @Selur, otherwise I don't know that I'm addressed.

I choose the 1st and output H:\ , but in the end coding/pass there was nothing there (x265).
-
even though this was not directed to me: "1st pass" doesn't produce an output, it produces stats&co files, only second pass is ment to produce an output file. The first pass is ment to collect statistics.

Can I use this static for re-use or use in different x265 builds? How can I specify the path to this statics for 2nd pass

How can I specify the path to this statics for 2nd pass
Can I use this static for re-use or different x265 builds?
You might be able to use it for different encodes of the same source (same output frame size, filtering&co), assuming the settings you changed are not influenced by the frame type positioning, or influence the frame type positioning themselves.
If you can use those stats files across different x265 builds probably depends on the same restrictions.
-> Ask the x265 developers.users currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555, marcorocchini -
Did you specify the .stats file which was created during 1st pass?
Normally Hybrid creates a file which has the time at the end, like "H:\Output\test_11_47_23_3610_01.stats".
-> looks more like a user mistake then a bug.
Cu Selurusers currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555, marcorocchini -
Now I understand
We need to change / update the statics file because the file name changes (add time code).
I do not see any reason to add time for manual mode (unnecessary procedures / chores) - how to disable?Last edited by Gravitator; 26th Sep 2014 at 05:23.
-
Normally it is intended to first do the 1st pass and then after doing that, create the 2nd pass(es).
-> There is no way to not allow Hybrid to rename the stats file atm., will think about adding this option for the next release.
update: won't make it into the next releaseLast edited by Selur; 26th Sep 2014 at 14:14.

The problem occurs when rename 5-8_19_25_46_2010_01.stats & 5-8_19_25_46_2010_01.stats.cutree to > 5-8.stats & 5-8stats.cutree (shorten the name), and further 2nd pass does not accept the modified file.
I suspect that there is an internal linking to the original file name? -
will look at it next week

Let's see what succeeded in a year > DivX265
Version history / Release notes / Changelog:
DivX265 version 1.4.21
What's new:
Support for Main 10 (10 bit) in addition to Main (8 bit).
Additional 10 bit raw input formats (yuv420p10le, v210)
Improved encoding speed and efficiency
Linux version
Signalling of BT.2020
New options:
-10 --main10 Selects Main 10 (10 bit) profile
--format (yuv420p, yuv420p10le, yuv422p10le, I420, V210) Raw pixelformat
--psnr Calculation psnr metrics
It is recommended to use the 32 bit version with AviSynth.
Known issues:
Statistics Linux version incorrect. -
Did they finally make a static build or is it still a dynamic build which relies on runtimes?
Nice to see taht they added 10bit and 4:2:2 support.users currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555, marcorocchini -

Will be funny to see the engine like RipBot in their converter (operator last year spoke of such development) and not having a banal cropping.
---
At me temporary work (not a favorite - this is due to my bodily and spiritual passive) -
a. Haven't tested DivX265. No clue what exactly doesn't work, but seeing the command line, I guess '--format ...' is now required. -> not really surprised that blindly exchanging DivX265 does break Hybrids DivX265 support.
b. Yes, I'm aware that a f265 is shipped with Hybrid. (if you don't need it you can delete it)

Selur,
Any chance of adding support for q264:
http://www.tetrachromesoftware.com/
It looks like it may be a much better option than QSVEnc.
Thanks. -
Nope, looked into it before I found QSVEnc, back then it didn't offer input via stdIn and now it doesn't seem to offer anything that QSVEnc doesn't also offer and since they use the same encoder libaries I see no gain in supporting it. (+ it only comes with a separate installer and I'm not sure if it's license would allow to rebundle the necessary files with Hybrid)
-> don't really see anything that would make it a better option than QSVEnc, but if you can name anything that it offers more than QSVEnc, which is interesting when used through Hybrid, I'll look into it.users currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555, marcorocchini -
@Graviator: 2014.11.09.1 should come with the latest DivX265 version and support it. (remember to select 'main 10' and 10bit calculation precision if you want to create 10bit encodes.
