hi everyone.. im very new to dvd ripping although ive ripped about 30 films its only been the movie part i have been able to rip.. i have been messing around with the options and i managed to get the menu part up after ripping and audio bit.. but when i write it to cd it goes past the menu as though its part of the film .. im useing smartripper to rip dvd -- dvd2avi for the audio -- and tmpgenc for the final rip part.. is there something im missing or a programme i need to do the menu section.. im totally lost on this part .. thanks in advance for any help .. u can mail me @ sharkuk_dw@hotmail.com thanks![]()

The menu vob on a dvd is just an mpeg. It is the authoring of the dvd that allows you to use the remote to navigate the menu. If you just rip the menu vob and put it on a vcd/svcd, ya ain't got no functionality.
There are some decent guides here that might cover help menus.
What are you producing? VCD, SVCD, miniDVD ?
You can produce different menus with these.
Let us know what kind and I'm sure you'll get some help....
