I was informed Yesterday that SuddenLink was imposing a "monthly usage allowance" starting today. Do I have any recourse?

I have a 20meg download speed and have been put on the plan of 250GB limit each month. My billing period ended at midnight last night and their usage stats show I had 400mb left befeore the hammer falls.

The only recourse is to increase your download speed (they only have 3 available) and they increase the limit or change providers and where I am located the only option is ATT and their quotas are even smaller.

I even offered to pay for an increase but they said no but what the hell, they charge $10 for each 50GB over your limit so there is really no difference. They give you 2 times over the limit then charge the $10 each time after that.

Another way is to decrease your download speed and use the difference to pay for extra download amount.

If I reduced from 20meg to 10meg meg limit would drop to 200GB and the price difference is almost $50 or an extra 250GB in download amount to 450 total.

Any way you look at at it they own the Vaseline Jar.

Thanks Jimmy. I was wondering if SuddenLink was the only that had a usage limit. Are we the only country in the free world that does this? Of course it's all about money not usage. They want you to buy their movies. Thanks again for your reply.
