I'm trying to extract audio from a .MOV file. I've tried movie audio to mp3 and movie audio to ac3 presets, but each time the resulting file is an AVI file. If I stop the encoding before it's finished, I get 2 files- a .mp3 and an e.avi. The mp3 is not full length, though. If I let the encoding complete, these two files disappear and I'm only left with the .avi.
Help?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Use Audacity with the FFmpeg and Lame encoders installed. Just drag the .mov onto it and export the audio as mp3. Yes, it's an audio software package, but it will strip the sound out of a video for you.
You could also try demuxing the file with tsMuxer. That will give you seperate video and audio files.Last edited by transporterfan; 23rd Mar 2012 at 17:32.
