  1. I have collected some pieces of an interesting music gig, and I want to put it together in a Blu Ray disc (BD) with menu, BUT avoiding reformat or reprocess or reencode what already is a HD video that was recorded with a Kodak pocket cam.

I tried Vegas 11 and Nero, but they did not understand the format and want to re-render everything.

Is my understanding that (apart for the Quicktime envelope) what I have inside is no other than an AVC or a MP4 file, and that must be "smart rendered" by any software.
Why recompress again something that must be already ready for a authoring a BD?
If I use YAMB software to get other "envelope", Shall I be reencoding the thing?.
    I am a little confused...

    Try avchdcoder and multiavchd.

You could also try "remux" the mp4 to a ts or m2ts with tsmuxer and see if it works in your current software.
