1. using Virtauldub to frameserve and CCE to encode a divx to svcd, which settings should i use so that the result will fill the whole screen on a widescreen PAL tv?

right now, i am using tmpenc which has a possibility to change the setting into an source aspect ratio of 16:9 and full screen(keep aspect ratio). This setting works fine but CCE is a lot faster and apparently gives a better picture.

Can anyone help?

4. Virtualdub:
Resize to 432*414, expand frame 480*576; If your dvd player can play 23.976 fps, do not framconvert. Else change frame fps 25. Beware that ten you also need to frameconvert the audio, use BBesweet.

Tmpgenc:
load the svcd pal template, and unlock it and do the following changes
video tab: aspect ratio 1:1
high quality

advanced tab:
source aspect ratio 1:1
video arrange method: center custom size
432*414

save the project and convert it in Vfpai

CCE
do what ever you want, but leave the dar flagg 4:3.

I wrote a guide using Tmpgens framserving to CCE (norwegian) you'll find it here

7. Since I you did'nt give any error description. You may wanna try a few things:

Tmpgenc: double klick on TMPGEncVFP_Install.

VFPAI: double klick on vifpset file
right klick-> install on the vifp.ini.

PS. You can always use VitualDub or Avisynth

8. ok..vfapi is working now, and i just converted my divx with vfapi..now i can run it on CCE..

Another question though:

Does CCE use all the setting i entered in the tmpenc project file?
And since CCE 2.50 supports both vdub frameserve AND vfapi files, why would i switch to 2.62? What are the advantages of 2.62 over 2.50? would u guys advise to switch?
