  1. Hello, I'm really new to DV-capturing so forgive me if I ask something really stupid. I did search through all the topics but couldn't find an answer to my question.

I would like to encode my DV-captured AVI with CCE but when I try to load the AVI in CCE I get an error message. Using an Avisynth script doesn't work either: Avisynth can't seem to handle the AVI. And when I try to load the AVI in VirtualDub (to rip the WAV from the AVI) it gives me an error message that it needs a VFW codec. TMPGEnc is able to load and encode it but I prefer CCE. What am I missing to be able to use CCE? Do I need some sort of codec?

  2. nm, I'm using Adobe Premiere 6.0 now with the CCE plugin or the Avisynth plugin.

Look around for a DV codec. My capture machine has a Miro one, since I have StudioDV.

I'm using the MainConcept one on my other machine .. decodes fine, just don't encode unless you want a watermark
