What external capture card should I be using to make regular VCDs? I current have a Dazzle Digital Video Creator (USB). I'm converting kids programs recorded on a Tivo unit.
The computer capturing the S-Video and audio signals is a Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop. It is a 1.2GHz system w/512mb RAM, 30 GB hard drive, ATI Radeon 7500 64MB video card and does have firewire built-in.
Does speed (USB v. IEEE 1394) make a difference when capturing mpeg-1 clips to be used in VCDs?
