The on-screen display (duration bar) keeps disappearing after 5 minutes. How do I keep it there for the entire movie?

To be honest I don't know if you can.
Have you tried xbox.com for answers?
Also I'm curious to know why you'd want to leave it on. Are you trying to find a specific time code for an event in the video? It might be easier if this is a dvd or a file you are playing from a usb drive to play it on a computer. If its removable and not purchased media that is tied to your xbox play it on a computer using vlc or media player classic home cinema and it will leave the counter up in a windowed screen the whole time.
If this is purchased media that can only be played on your xbox I am not sure what to suggest. Other than manually pressing the info display button on your xbox remote or your controller when it vanishes.
I'm frankly baffled at this request - most of the time people want to hide on screen graphics.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
