i'm looking for a dvd player that does not show the play icon on the screen. any suggestions? we need it to go to our projector. right now we have a low tech solution of covering the lens until it mercifully dissapears,

I thought that was standard. My Sony has a setting and I am sure my Funai does as well.
Check a setting for 'OSD display on/off'
