I have just decided to edit my tapes and transfer to DVD disks. However, I have lost the disk that came with the camera but decided to use Pinnacle to transfer the videos. I downloaded a USB driver for the camera but found that it was not compatible with Windows 7; I tried backwards compatibility, using Windows XP but that did not work. So then I decided to use Linux Ubuntu and downloaded a few of their programs but none seemed to have the facility to transfer tapes.
I do not have a Firewire connection on my computer only USB.

Could any one advise me if there is a way around these problems?

    Help much appreciated.
