I use Pinnacle Studio 14.
I have had no problems using Pinnacle to burn DVD's . I recently created a video that was longer than 60 mins in fact it was 85 minutes. During the Pinnacle Make Movie settings options I was given the following info:
With 4.7GB Avail 0secs, Used 85 mins, Quality 77%
With 8.5GB Avail 38mins, Used 85 mins, Quality 100%
This all makes sense to me and so I purchase a DL DVD and everything was fine.
However some time later I just checked with Windows file manger Explorer the properties of all the files in the VTS folder. Much to my surprise it showed a total 3 GB... So why did my 85 mins video not fit onto a 4.7GB disc. Maybe it is the way Pinnacle is burning or am I missing something here?
I then did use Windows to burn the VTS files which burnt OK but the DVD did not operate as expected on my TV i.e. looping around the Menu until play is pressed and return ti menu on conclusion of the video. Within the TV menu I was able to select the individual VOB files and ad play but clearly windows does not burn the same as Pinnacle. What software can burn VTS to work like a profession bought DVD but could fit my 3Gb files onto a
4.7 Gb DVD.
