  1. Hi,

We recently bought this TV from a friend who is moving. It has great picture quality but when we plugged in our wii console we cannot figure out how to turn on the panorama view (it is stuck in a standard format and not stretching the entire width of the screen)

We bought a vizio universal remote and programmed it to our TV. While this allows us to navigate, change channels and volume, etc. we still cannot figure out how to enable the widescreen panorama while our wii console is in use.

When we play a dvd it fits the entire screen.

Thanks for any and all help and if this is in the wrong place please feel free to move it to the correct section!!

What is " panorama view"? Is it the same as "wide?

Did you get a manual with the TV?

Most manuals are available online from the manufacturer. You can also buy the correct remote for the model.

Perhaps you mean SANYO. If so you might try this link

    http://www.manualnguide.com/brand/sanyo/consumer-electronic/televison/

You will need to know the model number, which you should have put in your post. The Sanyo site's search doesn't admit to the existence of Vizon but Google does.

have you changed the wii's settings to 480p widescreen and are you using a wii composite cable? it won't do it by itself.

  5. The model number is HT30744.

We have changed the wii's settings but have not tried the cable. We will try this solution as well as looking for the remote that comes with this TV if we can't find a universal remote that will work with it (anyone have any recommendations?)

Thanks for all of the information and replies!

    Google found

A website forum for that TV

    Manual

You can order a replacement remote from Sanyo.

Universal remotes don't usually support secondary controls. You must have a working remote to train the universal remote.

Some TV sets of that vintage have menu buttons on the TV front. I don't see one in this manual. You can ask in the AVS forum.
