    Hello group,

I have an IBM P275 CRT monitor I am trying to hook up via DVI cable. (This monitor has dual inputs: vga & dvi with a switch to flip between). I cannot get a picture at all, screen says no input, etc. Ultimately, this will be a part of a multi display device setup (ATI 3400 + Catalyst Control Center on Vista, 4 viewing devices total). I cannot get it to work at all however. The interesting thing though - when on my other display, I can see in CCC (the video card software) that it recognizes this monitor perfectly - it has full options to setup how I like in my 4 display setup, it reads out the model name/number and correctly specs out the resolution & refresh! Any idea what the deal could be that it can pick up all these specs but show no picture at all? I've tried just about every setting known to man, but am open to ANY ideas. Is it possible it's a bad cable??? (passing EDID data but no display maybe?)

Figured out the monitor is DVI-A analog only. Anybody know if the ATI radeon 3400 puts out analog as well as digital??? If it does (DVI-I) then I should be able to use a DVI-I cable (providing I can find one that is clearly DVI-I and not simply DVI-D). Otherwise I'll have to have a VGA adapter in there somewhere.
